Kilton Land Auction Brings in $10 Million

Kilton Auction round two was another success with over 2000 acres of recreational land and over 1000 acres of farmland selling at an average of $3300 per acre. Everyone's Leaving us for Indiana

It's the Wednesday before the Gary Parker Auction and everyone is getting ready to leave. Kurt is onsite...probabably making out his wish list. LOL. Mark, Aaron, Dan and intern Dan left this morning and should arrive there around 5pm tonight. Nelson, Karen, Becky and Susan will be leaving soon. Last crew leaves tomorrow morning at 6am. It will be really quite around here. Wish I could be going but too much to do around here and at home. There is all sorts of buzz about this auction. I'm sure we'll have a lot of international guests. I love the old steam tractors. The size and the sounds amaze me!!!

The literature for Friday's auction are like works of art. They just don't make stuff like they used to:(

I also can't believe that Thanksgiving is only 5 weeks away. Even though I only work that sale every other year, it's one of my favorites. I love the tractors, the people and the holiday. Plus, I went shopping on Black Friday last year and it wasn't all that great. I can wait a few days.

MarkNet continues to grow number of auctions

MarkNet Alliance members have reached a new milestone posting 500 current auctions. A majority of the auctions currently listed (318) with the companies are residential real estate auctions and over 300 auctions are being conducted as online only auctions.

MarkNet Alliance, a national network of auction companies, in the past has conducted approximately 250-300 auctions every 30 days.

Auction Update

NAA Confernce & Show 2009

The 2009 National Auctioneer Association's Conference & Show is going on now in Kansas City. The Aumann's have left for the show and are busy with meeting and events. The office is so quite without everyone here. Our MarkNet friends have a booth at the show and I hope everyone will go by and tell them Hi! I was able to go to the trade show last year and it was great to see all of the new products and introduce myself to the staff of the services we currently use. We're keeping things going back here at the office. Shipping out tons of stuff!!!
